It’s Fabulous Friday, and we have lot’s of wedding goodness to share with you today! We are over the moon excited to share Smitten Issue No. 4 with you, and even more excited to share that many of our own Queen City wedding professionals were featured in the Historic Rosedale Plantation inspiration shoot {Once Upon A Time} in the newly released Winter edition. Today we are taking a more in depth look at the the featured inspiration shoot, initially inspired by a modern take on Victorian era romance….think Jane Austen novels meets today’s savvy modern Bride, you! All these amazing images were captured by Richard Israel Photography. The Victorian Era was known for the utmost elegance, amazing artistic innovation and an overall nod to all things beautiful and romantic, so this shoot was a modern take on how to interpret that into today’s wedding. The Historic Rosedale Plantation, was the perfect backdrop, with it’s historic Victorian plantation home and wonderfully lush formal gardens, it set the stage. A main point of inspiration for the shoot was from one of the featured exclusive linens from Cloth Connection, the pewter floral bouquet overlay. That along with several other beautiful linens in silver, metallic and gray tones added a touch of classic elegance with a hint of modern style. *Style note: mixed metallics are one of the current hot color palettes trends for 2012 {think golds & silvers}. The wedding invitation really sets stage for your wedding, it allows guests to get a glimpse of the overall theme and tone of your wedding day. Keeping this in mind for our shoot, we selected a very classic letterpress invitation suite from Smock through Salutations; menu cards and place cards also adding to the classic romantic feel completed the tabletop look, also from Salutations. Adding to the modern romantic feel, our beautiful model, Lindsay Worsham, wore these gorgeous Lazaro gowns from J. Majors Bridal Boutique. All the amazing Enchanted Atelier, Jenny Packham & Nina accessories and Badgley Mischka & Nina Wedding shoes were all courtesy of J. Majors Bridal Boutique. Additional beautiful element that set the romantic tone, a beautiful wedding cake designed by: and inspired by the Cloth Connection overlay; modern yet classic rental pieces from: A.F.R. & Classic Party Rentals ~ Charlotte. The overall effect, modern elegant beauty and romance in this Spring inspired wedding shoot. Have a fantastic weekend and stay tuned for more wed-fabulous next week!
